SHANGHAI at Sunrise (and rain)

I had to go to Shanghai for a client pitch, then decided to take the WE off to get to know the city through my lens. The weather not my best friend that day. All I wanted was to get a few good shots at the Bund, people practicing tai chi at dawn. Instead, I got a ghost city setting. Shots are taken at 5.45am.

The start of a day.

The old parts on Shanghai, just 2km walk from the Bund. Most people have been evacuated as the buildings will be bulldozered in a few months.

Early morning hours in Shanghai.

I jumped on a river cruise to see the city from the waterfront.

The boy approaching the Finish line and at the Finish line.

Very proud of them! many good runner didnt complete this gruelling event.

The rest of the pix are taken along the last 20km of the event.

The idea was for us to intersact with the boys at 4.30am to do the final 20km walking with them. We got up at 3.30am that morning. The logistics were planned out to perfection.
