Indian Dance Performance

Last Saturday I spent the whole day photgraphing an Indian Dance, organised as a charity concert for the cancer patients. I bought 4 tickets and with the help of the PhotoMalaysia club guys, we got backstage passes allowing us full access. It was a wonderful day filled with colours, scents and beats. 3 of the dancers came from India, the rest from a local dance school. It was a long performace (3 hrs) but well worth watching. The skills and craft required to perform the moves can only be understood if you ever took up an Indian dance class. I did, twice, and that helped me appreciate it even more. The young girl here, the star of the evening, Priya is 10 yrs old and is considered a child dance prodigy.

I've posted my fav shots below. Was not too happy with the 1600 ISO I had to use, as many pix are grainy now. Nevertheless, a day well to be remembered.
