Kuch Kuch Hota Hai in the Air

Being in a new place like HK is like starting with a blank sheet of paper. There is nothing on it, hence on one hand the opportunities, and a slow start on the other. Then Catherine IM-ed me that she's sick and tired to sleep alone, and "what was that portal again that Ann joined?". So we both did. While I will probably comment on it later on, Catherine should be all in smiles. Her experience is somewhat reminiscent of Ann's - straight to the point, quick, decisive, with no BS. They both seem to know what they want and are going out to get it.

Catherine is my friend from Malaysia, an English girl, raised in Nairobi and Trinidad. She and I have very similar jobs, both work as strategic planners at ad agencies, except she's focused on one major client, while i'm spread on a few strategic ones. We became good friends, and clicked instantly. I liked her no-nonsense, head-on-the-shoulders personality, yet really warm, beautiful, expressive, passionate and indulgent in any good spur-of-the-moment adventure.

She went missing for a few days, only to come back and tell me she just got back from India, met A in person and are talking serious stuff now. We spoke on Skype for a couple of hours exchanging our online dating experiences. She cracked me up, totally, literally, deeply. It's good to see your friends so happy, in a rational sort of way, not over the top. With A's looks close to the Indian God, Sharukh Khan, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai story it is!

I don't need a reason to go back to India, as i love it too much, but Catherine may accelerate it. I relented the whole 'indian experience' while being married, only to come to love it, appreciate it and enjoy sharing it now. Life is fascinating.
